Irrigation Design, Inc., established in Jupiter, Florida
is an irrigation design and consulting firm providing the
design, planning, specifications and constructions details
for all types of commercial business parks and shopping centers,
municipal complexes, recreational/sports fields and courts,
parks, roadway medians and buffers, residential communities,
custom estate homes and resorts, equestrian fields and rings,
golf courses, gardens, nurseries and agricultural field irrigation.
Richard W. Gardner has been in the irrigation industry
locally for over thirty years and is experienced in irrigation
installation/service, project estimating, design, specifying
and planning. (Installation and service is not performed).
Richard W. Gardner is an IA Certified Irrigation
Designer with a commercial specialty. His Irrigation Association
Certification Number is 003213. Richard W. Gardner has passed
a rigorous series of examinations and is in good standing
with The Irrigation Association and agrees go follow the Code
of Ethics established by the certification board. Continuing
education is a requirement of certification and Richard W.
Gardner is continually attending specialized and advanced
educational courses regarding irrigation systems, controls,
water use and re-use, hydraulics, product application, Xeriscape
practices, central system control and other specific courses,
etc.
Richard
W. Gardner has obtained his State of Florida Certified Building
Contractor’s License. He has had the required construction
experience, training, testing and continuing education. Construction
knowledge adds to the value of his understanding of site,
building, structural, utility, materials, elevations, soils,
drainage, overall project development, coordination, scheduling
and conditions. Gardner Irrigation Design, Inc. has been a
member of the Florida Irrigation Society since 1980. Richard
W. Gardner served as Secretary/Treasurer in 1991, Secretary
in 1992, Vice President in 1993, and President in 1994. Richard
W. Gardner is also a member of the Irrigation Association.
Irrigation design and planning conforms to
the Irrigation Association and the Florida Irrigation Society’s
irrigation standards and Code of Ethics. Sound irrigation
practices, water management, water protection and conservation
practices are applied. Irrigation system designs are to be
efficient, are to meet landscape plant material needs, are
to use proven dependable products and are to be site/use/environment
specific and are to control excessive water over spray, run-off/waste
and liability exposure. Irrigation plans are produced in Autocad
from landscape or base .dwg files or scanned in plans. “As-builts”
can be created by editing the irrigation plans/files. Irrigation
plans can be drafted/drawn as needed.
